we are trying to do a science project, we need help!!Does the ph level in shampoo effect your hair?
a summary of pH:





1-6 = acidic [lemon juice]


7 = neutral [water]


8-14 = basic [soap]





if the pH level is too high, it could make your hair oily or leave your hair slippery and slimy-looking


if the pH level is too low, it will begin to eat away at your hair and eventually corrode it. your hair will become dry and brittle.Does the ph level in shampoo effect your hair?
Yes, because the average ph should be around 4.5 to 5.5 in order to give the proper hydration, but anything much different than that could damage and/or dry out the hair.
